Error: no product cost collector could be determined when saving production order

   When you save a production order ,system issued an error message:


Analysis
    1、Check the parameter of order type relevant plant .
        IMG: Production ->Shop floor control -> Master Data -> order -> Define order type-dependent parameters .
        Order type :ZP01 and plant 8700 ,in the view of "Cost accounting" we can find the check box "cost collector" is ticked .Press F1 ,we can get the help from SAP as below :

Use Product Cost Collector as Cost Object

Specifies whether the costs are collected on a manufacturing order, ( production order, process order), or product cost collector.

Use

• If this indicator is turned on, the costs are collected on a product cost collector. In this case you use the functionality of Product Cost by Period. preliminary costing, simultaneous costing, and final costing are performed at the level of the product cost collector. In this case you calculate the work in process and variances by period.

• If this indicator is not turned on, the costs are collected directly on the manufacturing order. In this case you use the functionality of Product Cost by Order. Preliminary costing, simultaneous costing, and final costing are performed at the level of the manufacturing orders. In this case you normally calculate work in process and variances by lot.

Dependencies

You must manually create the product cost collector independently of the production type in the menu of Product Cost by Period.
In repetitive manufacturing, you always collect the costs on a product cost collector. For order types of order category 05 (product cost collector), this indicator is always turned on internally by the system.
